This thing is the best $300 I ever spent on a PC part.
Do I buy the cable card from comcast.
Does it work on DirecTV though? :O
Answer to my question: “Yes, Ceton InfiniTV 4 supports 3D TV broadcasts as long as you have a 3D graphics card like the NVIDIA® 3D Vision installed in your Media Center PC and you receive 3D broadcasts from your cable provider.”
@TEKHD I think i have found what i’ve been looking for! :D Can it record sbs 3d?
@xxturbowesxx Yup. You just have to purchase the cable card. Sometimes the first cable card can be free but it depends from region to region and provider to provider. HTPC is really awesome especially with that ceton card.
Does this card record tv without purchasing DVR service from the provider?
@brett3xmvpfavre4 The Ceton has nothing to do with Extenders, it still records WTV which is Xbox 360 will handle just fine.
I am very close to purchasing this Ceton card, but has anyone had experience using a 360 (or 3 in my case) as extenders with the ceton card?
quick question guys you say you are using an atom processor….which one didn’t get that 330 or D525?
Everybody type in “gift” before youtube then press enter!
meh. I feel him on the limitations of 2HD recordings at once… but usually I can just change one to record the next time its on. I’m running U-verse with a Slingbox and so far it does the job. Wanted to use my XBOX 360 as an extender but AT&T refuse unless you have U-verse for internet as well…
You Two and Veronica ROCKS.
wait for amd new processors
@NeilJillett1996 I’m sure when he does get the build done, they’ll have it on HD Nation just like with his current Atom/Ion build. they showed it off along with a parts list/spec sheet
it’s not too hard to build a good HTPC. his build isn’t bad as it’s expandable in regards of add on cards, but for just the cpu and gpu, you can get a net top that will do the same thing for cheap. though it’s not hard to build a $500-$600 cpu with a high end cpu and gpu, decent mobo, and big ram. it’s all about budget, if that’s not an issue then it’s simple as heck to do the build.
whats with the yellow and blue distortion in the close-up shots?
Or you could have just did like I did and got U-Verse but where is the geek fun in that
can i come to your christmas party :)
If you do make a more powerful system, can you send me a youtube mail thingy with the specs.
i have a tivo on every tv in my house…robert you’re the man.
Why So Short!?
